One of the many fascinating aspects of travelling to a foreign Country is undoubtedly represented by local food . In our Country this is even more interesting since each of the 20 italian Regions has a well defined culinary tradition based on local natural produce and on different ways of preparing food according to local taste and tradition.
In Campania, particularly in Sorrento, the local cuisine has retained its tradition of simple and quick preparation , without too much sophistication , in order to perserve the fragrance and flavours of the fresh ingredients.
The brand new Sorrento Cooking School takes place within the holiday Resort Giardino delle Esperidi situated in Sant’Agnello,1 km away from the city centre of Sorrento and only a few steps away from the sea and the major local attractions.
ridi holiday Resort, offers “ hand – on “ cooking classes that are conducted in english and can be done either in the morning or in afternoon . Each course lasts approximately 3 hours and is followed by either lunch or dinner based on the lesson's subject.
The menus are composed of: appetizer, first course (generally gnocchi), main course (generally fresh fish) and dessert. Meals are accompanied by suitable wines and mineral water.
All the Chefs have long experience in the cooking, most of them have been working for famous Restaurants throughout Italy and abroad and some of them are also member of international culinary associations as the IACP ( www.IACP.com )
